Dorothy High Receives Ambassador of the Year Award

Dorothy High
Guardian Holdings

Dorothy High is married with two sons, both of whom are well-adjusted, well-mannered and whom are working on undergraduate studies in Raleigh.

Serving as an Ambassador since 2005, she has quietly and efficiently moved through the ranks from Ambassador to an honorary Ambassador Team Captain.  She has not only supported the work of other team members and our Members At-Large, but also served on a number of our new member campaigns.

She is well-grounded in priorities, placing family and spirituality first, yet still finds time for her community.  Not only serving through The Chamber, she devotes time to the Boys and Girls Club as well as other endeavors, while working a full time job.

Our honoree has been employed with one of our members since 2005 when joining the Chamber Ambassador Group.  With family, church, community and work, she still found the time and dedication to complete her own undergraduate studies in 2008.

One of her co-workers said, "I have never known or worked with a more conscientious person.  She works with great precision, good humor and is extremely capable.  She wears many hats ranging from service as corporate secretary, to helping manage the functioning of the company's Board of Directors, to assisting with marketing decisions for the company - and gets everything done with very little fuss or fanfare."

It gives us great joy to honor one of our quietest but consistenly dedicated volunteers with our 2009 Ambassador of the Year Award.
